MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY

Microbiology Laboratory was established in 1947. It is located on the third floor of the Faculty, room num-
ber 213 and 215, with an overall area of 65 m2. The Laboratory is equipped with all necessary equipment
and instruments for microbiological analyses.
Analyses
Microbiological analyses of soil and water;
Microbiological analyses of primary and processed agricul-
tural products (quality and safety);
Microbiological analyses of feed (quality and safety);
Determining the anti-microbe activity of different substances;
Quality of starter-cultures.
All of the analyses are being performed in accordance with the
prevailing laws and regulations in Republic of Macedonia, and
with internationally recognized methods for the specific analyses
Activities

Scientific and applicative projects in the field of:

                - Food and feed quality and safety;
                - Role of micro-organisms in soil decontamination;
                - Production and examination of starter-cultures for different types of products;

Analyses for the food industry;

Quality control and super-analyses in the food industry (meat, milk, bakery and confectionery products, fruit and vegetable products, wine and beverages industry and industry for production of drinking water).
