INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS
This institute focuses on education and research in the field of applied economics in agriculture. The institute’s stuff and students are dealing with wide range of topics on macro and microeconomic level, with primary accent on the use of natural resources, the productivity, profitability and sustainability of the agricultural production, the industrial organization of the agri-food systems, agribusiness management and marketing, finance, and agricultural policy and rural development. In addition to the educational and scientific activities, the institute also participates in the preparation of National strategies and programs for agriculture and rural development, investment programs, business plans and other elaborative studies.

During their studies, agricultural economics students develop analytical skills for solving economic problems in the field of agricultural production, proper use of natural resources as well as practical and theoretical knowledge in data collection and analysis on which management and policy decisions are based.
