INSTITUTE OF NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION IN AGRICULTURE
The institute has 10 employees, 7 are involved in education and research activities, and 3 are laboratory workers. The activities of the Institute are aimed at education of students, scientific work and applied activity with various interested parties in this field. Education and research activities are related to ecological and sustainable agriculture and proper management of natural resources, especially for: soil formation, soil genesis, physiology, evolution, classification, morphology and soil properties,
soil microbiology, soil fertility, plant nutrition and fertilizers management, irrigation of agricultural crops, proper water management and use of modern technologies and irrigation techniques in the drip practice, fertirigation and chemigation in agricultural production, soil and water conservation, land reclamation and erosion control, design, organization and operation of drainage and irrigation systems, water management in hydro-ameliorated systems, pollution of soils, ecological principles in agriculture, climate change and measures for adaptation in agriculture, GIS in agriculture, etc. The institute is involved in many international and national projects, as well as ongoing cooperation with the economy and state institutions, especially in the scope of its activity.

STUDY PROGRAMMES

Undergraduate studies (8 semesters): Eco-Agriculture
The purpose of the Eco-Agriculture undergraduate study programme is education based on the competencies of experts needed for the organization of agricultural production in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, for which adequate knowledge of the elements of the agro-ecosystem and their interactions with the environment is essential. The study programme is based on knowledge from natural and biotechnical sciences, so that students acquire knowledge and skills necessary for collecting and interpreting relevant data, as well as making conclusions about the impact of agricultural interventions on the environment, their acceptability and justification in terms of ecology, production and economy.

Master’s studies (2 and 4 semesters): Management of Natural Resources and Environment Protection in Agriculture (with 6 modules). The study programme of Management of Natural Resources and Environment Protection in Agriculture is adapted to the requirements of highly specialized and flexible studies, with an emphasis on developing the individual
competencies required by current and future public and private economic entities in the country and abroad, as well as for independent entrepreneurship. Upon completion, students obtain the title Master of Agricultural Sciences - Management of Natural Resources and Environment Protection in Agriculture.

Doctoral studies (6 semesters): Management of Natural Resources and Environment Protection in Agriculture
