INSTITUTE OF NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION IN AGRICULTURE
The Institute is constituted of 11 employees, 8 of which are involved in education and research activities, and 3 lab technicians. Generally, the institute's activities are concentrated on providing education to students, scientific work and applicative activity with parties interested in this area. The main education and research activities are related to ecological and sustainable agriculture and proper management of natural resources, particularly on: soil formation, soil genesis, physiology, evolution, classification, morphology and soil properties; soil microbiology; soil fertility, plant nutrition and fertilizers management; irrigation of agricultural crops, proper water management and use of modern technologies and techniques in irrigation practice; drip fertigation and chemigation in agricultural production; soil and water conservation; land reclamation and erosion control; design, organization and exploitation of drainage and irrigation systems; management of water in hydro-ameliorated systems; pollution of soils, water and crops caused by harmful matters; ecological principles in agriculture; climate changes and measures for adoption in agriculture; GIS in agriculture, etc.

Eco-Agriculture
The main goal of this study program is to provide students
with specialized competences in the area of agroecology and sustainable food systems,
proper management of land, water and other natural resources, and environment
protection, as well as to familiarize students with the legal framework and
contemporary trends in the field.
Master’s studies (two and four semesters)
Management of natural resources and environment protection
in agriculture
Modules: Pedology; Agro-Chemistry; Irrigation of
agricultural crops; Ecology; Land reclamation and erosion in agriculture;
Sources of pollution in agriculture.
Doctoral studies (6 semesters)
