Modern technologies for production of fruit planting material;
New technologies for establishment and maintenance of orchards;
Introduction, collection and examination of new varieties and rootstocks of fruit crops;
Technologies for fruit storing and processing;
Methods for determination of quality of raw material and final product (fruits and vegetables);
Diversity of honey bees and their productive features;
Production methods and quality assessment of various bee products;
Determination of climatic influence upon fruit crops development.

Applicative activities

Production control of fruit planting material;
Preparation of programmes for establishment of orchard and beeyards;
Recommendations for technological solutions for establishment and maintenance of orchards;
Expertise and technical advises in the field of apiculture;
Training of farmers - fruit and apiculture producers;
Determination of quality features of fruits, fruit and vegetable processed products and apiculture
products;
Expertise and technical advises for fruit storing and processing.

Created fruit varieties:

Pear - variety Crvena Trevuska
Apricot - variety Krupna Skopjanka
Marela - variety Bitolska Marela
Plum - varieties Bistricka and Petrovka

Capacities

Experimental field of 11 ha for practical education;
Beeyard of 30 bee hives;
Experimental coolers with controlled conditions;
Laboratory for quality analyses of processed fruit products;
Experimental solar dryers.
