Patents and innovations
Professors Miladin Mickoski and Jugoslav Ziberoski have identified and patented:
- Two types of fungi named: Penicillium macedoniense and Aspergillus macedoniense
- One type of bacteria named: Beijerinckia macedoniense
Professor Jugoslav Ziberoski has created and patented:
- 3 brands of mushrooms Agaricus bisporus
- 2 brands of mushrooms Pleurotus ostreatus
Professors Momcilo Bubalov and Vladimir Kakurinov have created and patented:
- Unique starter-culture of yeasts for wine production in the region.
Professor Vladimir Kakurinov is the first author of:
- First European glossary of terms and phrases for food quality and safety – “Food Quality and Safety Glossary of Terms“.
