METROFOOD - RI

An Open Day was held on the 11^th of April, 2022, to share the activities of the METROFOOD-PP project, with researchers, control laboratories, industry and consumers. The project is funded by the European Commission according to the Horizon 2020 program and Grant Agreement 871083. The purpose of the Open Day was introducing the possibilities offered by the Research Infrastructure METROFOOD-RI.

We were honored and very pleased with the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy of Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Ljupco Nikolovski who gave us full support on his behalf and on the behalf of the Ministry. Welcome speech gave the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food - Skopje, Prof. Dr. Vjekoslav Tanaskovikj, emphasizing the importance of being a part of this infrastructure for promotion of food quality and safety. M.Sc. Anita Najdenkoska as a National Coordinator of the project, spoke about the achievements of the project. Then, the METROFOOD-MK Laboratories were presented, M.Sc. Anita Najdenkoska presented the laboratories from the Institute of Public Health and Prof. Dr. Lence Velkoska-Markovska presented laboratories from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food - Skopje. The event was held hybrid, with physical presence at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food - Skopje and on-line through the Microsoft Teams platform with a total of 70 participants from academia, industry, control laboratories, students and consumers.
