Abstract
Biodiversity loss is reflected on the sensitivity of ecological potentials in the form of exhaustion and extinction of species. Sustainable management of genetic resources in livestock production simultaneously represents a concern for the conservation of biological diversity in domestic animals, food and raw materials for industry.
Busha is the only autochthonous cattle breed in the R. of Macedonia. It has very significant traits that should be used. Domestic cattle breeds reared on traditional livestock production are present today especially in mountain rural areas.
